Sailing the Caribbean

We leave Brazil just before our extended visa runs out and land in Martinique after a short stopover in French Guyana.

From Martinique we sail north to Saint Martin passing by the islands Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat and Sint Eustatius.

After several months in and around Saint Martin for boat works and friends we leave for Aruba, visiting Saba on the way. Like that we have done all the French and Dutch West Indies. In Aruba we haul out and fly back to Europe to enjoy the summer break.

In September 2025 Faida+ floats again and we decide to check out the western part of the Caribbean.

We stayed in Jamaica about 10 days, then hopped over to the Cayman Islands. Cruising the Caribbean during the official hurricane season implies a daily check for disturbances and a very flexible plan. Therefore as it was becoming clear that hurricane was about to develop and come our way we left for Honduras.
